The protection of your data is at the core of our product. This statement describes which personal data we process on kadenz.dev and in the KADENZ test access, on what legal basis, and what rights you have.

2. Principle

We use no tracking cookies, no analytics tool, and no advertising tracking. We only process data that is necessary to operate the site and to provide the service you have requested.

3. Accessing the website (hosting)

This website is delivered via Cloudflare Pages (Cloudflare, Inc.). When you access it, Cloudflare processes technically necessary access data (including IP address, timestamp, and requested resource) in order to deliver the page and protect it against attacks. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure, stable operation). A data processing agreement is in place with Cloudflare; any transfer to third countries is safeguarded by EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

4. Fonts

We host the fonts ourselves; they are delivered from kadenz.dev together with the rest of the page. No data is transferred to Google or any other font provider for this.

5. Sign-up request

When you enter your email address at /test, we process it in order to set up a test access for you and send you your access link. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of pre-contractual measures at your request) or (a) (consent). To send the notification email we use the service Resend (Resend, Inc., USA); your email address is transmitted to Resend in the process. This transfer to the USA is safeguarded by EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

6. Using KADENZ (beta)

You query our own curated finance-research database and public datasets with your own AI (for example Claude), connected via an API key we issue to you. We process your account email, that API key, and the queries you send. The following applies:

  • Retrieval (finding the passages and data that match your query) runs on our own EU-hosted server; we do not send your queries to third-party AI providers and do not use them for training.
  • The generative answer is produced by your own AI client, outside KADENZ and under your AI provider's own terms.
  • We do not require you to upload your own documents; you can have your account and any data deleted at any time.

7. Recipients / processors

  • Cloudflare, Inc.: hosting of the website, DNS, and email forwarding (info@kadenz.dev).
  • Resend, Inc. (USA): sending of sign-up and notification emails.
  • Google: email is received in a Google mailbox after forwarding.

Contracts pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR are in place with processors; third-country transfers are safeguarded by EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

8. Retention period

We store requests and test-access data only for as long as necessary for the test operation, at most until your deletion request or the end of the test phase. Technical server logs are retained for a short time.

9. Your rights

You have the right to access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), and objection (Art. 21), and, where processing is based on consent, the right to withdraw it at any time. To exercise these rights, contact info@kadenz.dev. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
